Tauhara School Inquiry Curriculum Map

Our School Vision is that children at Tauhara Primary School
will be connected with their Turangawaewae;
Stand tall in their own culture and the culture of Aotearoa and the global world.

Our children are our future.
For our children to stand tall they must first stand tall in their own culture
For us all to stand tall we must give our children every opportunity to achieve
For our whanau to stand tall they must learn alongside their children.

The Tuwharetoa Cultural Knowledge will thread through the Tauhara Curriculum and will underpin the Principles of our Curriculum and become embedded in the Key Competencies; the Values; the learning Areas; the Future Focus and the assessment processes of our school. Through the next year in consultation with Tuwharetoa Cultural Knowledge Facilitators; Tuwharetoa Tangata whenua; Teachers; Board; Whanau; children; - we will work towards how this will look in our Curriculum Documents and the Learning programmes in our school.

If you are European you stand tall in your own culture, speak in your own language and the languages of Aotearoa.
