Kia Ora whanau of Room 7. My name is Whaea Reina. I feel honoured and privileged to finally say that I am coming home to Tauhara. I was born, breed and schooled within the Tauhara area and am an ex-pupil of Tauhara Primary School. I have been teaching at Tongariro Area School since 2001, during which time I have raised my 4 beautiful children, TeArihi 18ys, Nikau 13ys, Iraia and Tohu 8ys and lived beside the majestic Tongariro Awa/river.
Since completing my training, I have longed to return home and now have this opportunity to teach, learn and flourish amongst our Tauhara Primary Whanau. I am lucky to have such a diverse mixture of Tamariki with Japanese, Kiwi and Tokelauan. I look forward to meeting everyone and excited about the new journey ahead of us all.
